In the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre of the Republic of Macedonia, in the period from 23 to 25 April 2018, a training was conducted by representatives of the Dutch Cadastre, experts from the NSDI field. The training was organized within the framework of the SPATIAL project, (Strengthened Professional Access To Information About Land in the Western Balkan Region ) financed by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the MATRA Pre-Accession Training Programme.
The training was organized for representatives of the respective departments of the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre, that is, the IT sector and the Sector for geomatics, but also for representatives of the members of the Council of National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI): the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Culture, the State Statistical Office, the Crisis Management Center, the City of Skopje, as well as representatives of the company GDI-Skopje. The guests from the Republic Geodetic Authority of the Republic of Serbia participated in the workshop as well and presented their experience in the field of National Spatial Data Infrastructure.
In addition to the training for trainers, at which the participants learned how to train in the field of NSDI from “data to public access to the database and their technical management”, the visitors likewise acquired knowledge of using many different types of softwares and platforms (Qgis, Geonetwork , Geoserver, Apache webserver, Tomcat, Hale, INSPIRE validator and Enterprise architect) for creating and publishing metadata / services.
