For a more successful and efficient solving of the problems of the citizens, the private surveying practice was enabled to function by law, through the foundation of private surveying trade companies and sole proprietors – licensed surveyors.

The private licensed surveyors, according to the Law, do the operational field work that refer to the establishment and maintenance of the survey and real estate cadastre. Among the activities within their range, there are:

  • Division of parcels;
  • Merging of parcels;
  • Recording the changes that have occurred with the construction of buildings;
  • Preparing numerical data;
  • Preparing geodetic reports for the registration of rights;
  • Geodetic reports from geodetic work for a specific use;
  • Expert findings.

The list of authorized private surveyors that one can turn to are put up on a bulleting board in the nearest Cadastre Office.

The fee for the service provided is determined by the trade company for geodetic services and the licensed surveyors sole proprietors, according to the size and complexity of the service provided, the distance and the field conditions, and for all of these things a contract is made with the users of the geodetic services.
