Private geodetic sector
The establishment of the private geodetic sector for performance of the operative (field) geodetic works in the field of survey, establishment and the maintenance of the real estate cadastre and the performance of the geodetic works for special purposes related to the survey and the real estate cadastre was enabled for the first time with the changes and the amendments to the Law on survey, cadastre and registration of real estate rights in 2005.
Such legal solution is also provided in the new Law on Real Estate Cadastre. The authorization for authorized surveyor can be obtained by each natural person that meets the following criteria:
- Has citizenship of R. Macedonia,
- Hold a B. Sc in Geodesy with minimum 3 years of work experience in the field of the geodetic works as a graduated geodetic engineer,
- Has passed the exam for obtaining authorization for authorized surveyor.
The authorization for authorized surveyor is issued by the Chamber of authorized surveyors.
The field geodetic works from the basic geodetic works, survey for the purpose of establishment and maintenance of the real estate cadastre, field works that refer to the topographic maps and the geodetic works for special purposes can be performed by sole proprietors and trade companies for geodetic works that meet the following criteria:
- To be registered in the Trade Register with main occupation for performance of geodetic works,
- Have engaged minimum two employees from the geodetic field, out of which one is authorized surveyor,
- Have license for performance of the geodetic works,
- Have damage liability insurance,
- Meet the criteria for facilities and equipment necessary for performance of the geodetic works.
The license for performance of geodetic works is issued by AREC. For acquiring a license for geodetic works a fee is charged.
The most common field geodetic works which are performed by the sole proprietors-authorized surveyors and the trade companies for geodetic works are:
- Division and merging of parcels,
- Survey of the changes resulting from construction and extension of objects,
- Preparing numeric data,
- Drafting a Geodetic Report for registration in the real estate cadastre,
- Drafting Geodetic Report for geodetic works of influence to the maintenance of the real estate cadastre,
- Expert findings,
- Updating geodetic maps for urban planning purposes and other.
The private surveyors for the performed works charge a fee. The amount of the fee for the performed services that the private surveyors charge shall be defined according the volume and the complexity of the work, the remoteness and the field conditions.
