On October 2, 2019, the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre of Republic of North Macedonia was the host of the national workshop from the NISD area in our country, supported by two experts, Mrs. Naima Almstrom and Mr.David Boman from the Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authority – “Lantmäteriet” with which AREC cooperates for a long time and works on the IMPULSE project.
The Agency for Real Estate Cadastre of Republic of North Macedonia is a competent institution for establishing, maintaining and ensuring public access to the NISD geo portal for provisioning metadata services, as well as metadata registry.
IMPULSE regional project is funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), whose purpose was to support national cadastre and surveying agencies in the countries from the region in the process of implementing the INSPIRE Directive.
Today was held the final meeting of the IMPULSE project where results were summarized, numerous questions were asked and many dilemmas were discussed, especially in the part referring to licensing, and with regards to the PSI Directive or Directive on open data and re-use of public sector information, also known as “Directive on Open Data” (EU Directive 2019/1024) which entered into force on July 16, 2019 and replaces the Directive from 2003.
At the same time, new project was presented deriving from the cooperation between AREC and the Lantmäteriet, especially its segment referring to the National Infrastructure of Spatial Data of Republic of Macedonia (NSDI).
