The 12th Regional Conference on Cadastre and National Spatial Data Infrastructure – NSDI was held from 4th to 6thof September 2019 in Neum, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The 12th Regional Conference on Cadastre and National Spatial Data Infrastructure – NSDI was held from 4th to 6th of September in Neum, Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized by the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.This conference was attended by delegates from the National Cadastre Agencies and the National Spatial Data Infrastructure – NSDIs from: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of Srpska, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, as well as by the partner organizations: EuroSDR, CLGE, JICA and SIDA.

The conference was likewise attended by the President of EuroGeographics, Mr. Colin Bray and the Executive Director Mr. Mick Cory. A Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of Cadastre, Topographic Surveying and Cartography, Geodetic Networks and Spatial Data Infrastructure was signed in Neum at this important conference for our region between the National Cadastre Agencies and the National Spatial Data Infrastructures – NSDIs from the region.

The significance of the development and implementation of the new modern IT systems for real estate registration and their ownership was emphasized at this conference, which enhances data security and simplifies the access to them. In addition to the showing of appreciation for the IMPULS project and the achieved results, the need for further cooperation with the donors, in the area of creating the land administration sector and the spatial data infrastructure was likewise stressed. The next regional conference will be held in Slovenia.

On the side-lines of the conference, the Macedonian delegation held several working meetings with the donors from Sweden, Norway JICA and SIDA.
