The International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) celebrated the 140th jubilee of its foundation. FIG was founded in 1878 in Paris as an organization which provides surveyor disciplines and surveyor practice in order to meet the needs of the society. A delegation from the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre of the Republic of Macedonia took part in the International Interdisciplinary Conference which was held from 7th to 9th of November, 2018 in Athens.
On the topic “Economy, society and climate changes.The impact of megatrends in building the environment, construction and cadastre”, where the professional experiences, scientific knowledge and ideas for the impact of the trends on the environment, construction and cadastre were shared.
Approximately 60 lecturers held their presentations in 26 sessions. Apart from the presentations of the professors from the Sorbonne University in Paris and the Technical University of Munich, as well as the presentations by the President of FIG, the Director of the International Office of the Norwegian Mapping Authority, the President of the Council of European Geodetic Surveyors (CLGE) and the President of UNECE-WPLA, which were of special interest for our delegation, the representatives of the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre of the Republic of Macedonia held several work meetings within the Conference as well.
