The 11th Regional Conference on Cadastre and Spatial Data Infrastructure was held from 29 to 31 of May this year in Budva, Montenegro.
Every national cadastre and mapping agency presented the realized projects in the period between the two Conferences, as well as the projects planned for the future, referring to the Western Balkans region (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia and Bulgaria). The representatives of the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre of the Republic of Macedonia also presented the current and future projects and the realized international cooperation of the institution.
Within this Conference, a meeting of the national coordinators and the Management Board of the IMPULSE project was held. Discussions were led about the draft-text of the memorandum of cooperation between the regional institutions. The members of the Management Board accepted the updated version of the memorandum of cooperation. The memorandum of cooperation is planned to be signed in September, 2018.
In the working part of the Conference, the Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authority – Lantmäteriet; the Norwegian Mapping Authority – Kartverket; the Netherlands’ Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency; the Japan International Cooperation Agency – JICA; as well as EuroGeographics and UNGGIM representatives presented the priorities in the international cooperation and the funding of regional and international projects. It was agreed the next Regional Conference on Cadastre and Spatial Data Infrastructure to be held at the beginning of June 2019 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized by the Federal Geodetic and Property-Legal Affairs Authority.
