Representatives of the Norwegian Mapping Authority (Statens Kartverk) and the representatives of the national agencies for geodesy, mapping and cadastre from the region held a work meeting on April 17-18, 2018 in Oslo, Norway.
The meeting was held within the Project referring to the improvement of the access to the updated geographic information and to the main registers in the countries from the Western Balkans, for which the Norwegian Mapping Authority signed a funding contract with the Norwegian Government. It will last from October, 2017 until October, 2020.
The purpose of the work meeting was considering of the possibilities for determining regional geoid for the territory of the countries in the Western Balkans. The representatives from every country presented the status of the activities for the basic geodetic works and the future development projects from the area of basic geodetic works, related to the geodetic reference infrastructure, with special emphasis of the height systems and determination of the national geoids. The needs will be determined based on the knowledge, which will present a basis for defining future regional project.
During the visit, the representatives of the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre held a special work meeting with Mrs. Elena Bush, Project Manager of the Project “Establishing digital model of the territory of Republic of Macedonia and construction of capacities in the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre for keeping and distribution of digital data on the territory”. The planned project activities, the plan and dynamics for their realization were also discussed at the meeting.
